Captain Aetos · Safety
It only reads. The call is yours.
Exactly what Captain Aetos does on your phone, and what it never does
What it does
Reads what the request shows
Fare, pickup distance, rider rating and trip count, request age and the addresses shown
Reads the road from the map
Captures the map area inside the request details screen only, to read the route distance and time, then lets it go
Writes you a verdict
A small bar over the request and a tag next to it on the list
What it never does
Never taps a button
Doesn't accept, reject, negotiate or open any screen in the ride app
Doesn't read your other apps
And never captures the screen outside the request details screen
Keeps no rider data
No names, numbers, addresses or screenshots are stored or sent
Doesn't use your location
No location permission and no GPS
No ads
And no third-party tracking tools

Stop it at any moment
The stop button
In the notification itself and on the home screen of the app
Stops by itself
After a time you choose with no ride app on screen
Only with your consent
The app explains the reading permission before you turn it on and asks for your explicit consent. You can withdraw it in Android settings.
What reaches our server
A device ID worked out on the phone, the app version, the country and region you pick, the interface language and your trial or subscription state. Plus general usage events like a verdict shown or an alert played, with no rider name, address, fare or image.
Straight talk about your ride-app account
The app never touches the ride app or changes anything in it. But each ride company sets its own policies and we can't promise anything about them. So we tell you exactly what it does and you decide.
An independent app
Captain Aetos is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of any ride-hailing company. The verdict is help based on your rules and on what the screen shows, and it can misread. Every call is yours.
